How do you sum yourself up in a few paragraphs?  For me it’s a little tough, anyone who knows me… knows I’m a talker!  What I do know for sure is I feel truly blessed to do what I love: tell and share stories that leave people feeling uplifted.

People often ask what my day-to-day is like… well, every day brings something different. One day I might be interviewing celebrities like Tom Hanks or Oprah (still one of the highlights of my career).  On another day I could be sitting down with an 82-year-old Homecoming Queen, a 7-year-old Cancer Survivor or out on the hunt for an incredible small business that deserves the spotlight.  I must admit, I love a good Red Carpet; the challenge of standing out (through thoughtful questions) in a sea of reporters thrills me… the feeling never gets old, never!

My road to TV was anything but typical.  After college I landed a job working for one of the ‘Big Four’ Accounting firms… I guess that’s what you do with a degree in Accounting, Finance and Marketing.  After a couple of years I made the switch to Finance.  I shined in my role but knew it wasn’t my passion. That’s when I decided to pursue my dream… Journalism, and what an amazing ride it’s been.  I soaked in every single second of my education, knowing if I was going to ‘make it’ in this new field, I needed to learn it all… and I mean ALL.  When school was done I landed an on-air job with the then digital unit of NBC and quickly worked my way up the company ladder.  People constantly ask me how I got to where I am today.  The answer: relentless hard work.

Over the years I’ve reported for a wide array of platforms, like the TODAY Show and NBC New York, Boston, Philly, Connecticut and more.

Currently, I’m a correspondent for WNBC’s New York Live.  That’s where I get to do everything from co-hosting The Golden Globes live pre-show (maybe I took a piece of the Red Carpet for memories… maybe), covering all things in the world of entertainment, movies, Broadway, lifestyle, pop-culture, female empowerment, small business, New York City, fashion and food.

When you see my stories air on The TODAY Show, I’m responsible for ALL of it.  Aside from the reporting, I produce, write, shoot (yes, I am my own camera woman) and edit my stories.  I take so much pride in every story and get such a rush when I see my hard work pay off.

The characters I meet along the way are one of my favorite on-the-job perks… there’s nothing I love more than connecting with people, it’s what I do best and what fuels me.  To be able to help and touch individuals through my stories makes me feel like the luckiest Girl in the world. If I can make one person’s day a little brighter... then I’ve done my job.

And to think, this is just the surface… told you I was a talker!
